Serves 4

  • Grated carrots 1 cups

  • Cashew Nuts and Raisins 1/4 cups

  • Milk 1/2 cups

  • Sugar 1/2 cups

  • Ghee 3 tbsp

  • Cardamom (crushed) 1/2 tsp

  • Khoya 1/2 cups

  • Home Made Khoya,Milk Powder 1 cups

  • Ghee 1/4 cups

  • Milk 1/4 cups

    Add the grated carrots in the pan with the ghee. Stir and cook on a low flame till it is soft and almost cooked.

    Heat a heavy bottomed pan with some ghee, fry the cashew nuts and raisins, keep aside.

    Add the crushed CARDAMOM, milk and stir. Once it bubbles,add the sugar and mix. Cook till the carrots are done.

    Then add the khoya and mix it well. Finally decorate it with cashew nuts and raisins.

    To make the khoya at home :Mix the milk powder, milk and ghee together to form a paste. Heat this in a microwave for 3 minutes by stirring it once in every 30 seconds. This forms a thick Mawa.
