Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cups grated carrots


  • 1/4 cups cashew nuts and raisins


  • 1/2 cups milk


  • 1/2 cups sugar


  • 3 tbsp ghee


  • 1/2 tsp cardamom (crushed)


  • 1/2 cups khoya


  • 1 cups home made khoya,milk powder


  • 1/4 cups ghee


  • 1/4 cups milk

Directions

  • Add the grated carrots in the pan with the ghee. Stir and cook on a low flame till it is soft and almost cooked.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan with some ghee, fry the cashew nuts and raisins, keep aside.
  • Add the crushed CARDAMOM, milk and stir. Once it bubbles,add the sugar and mix. Cook till the carrots are done.
  • Then add the khoya and mix it well. Finally decorate it with cashew nuts and raisins.
  • To make the khoya at home :Mix the milk powder, milk and ghee together to form a paste. Heat this in a microwave for 3 minutes by stirring it once in every 30 seconds. This forms a thick Mawa.
