Ingredients

Serves 3

  • Ghee 1 tbsp

  • Grated Carrot 1/2 cups

  • Grated Beetroot 1/2 cups

  • Grated BottleGourd 1/4 cups

  • Milk 2 cups

  • Crushed Cardamom 1 tsp

  • Sugar or as per taste 1/2 cups

  • Malai 3 tbsp

  • Chopped Almonds for garnishing 1 tbsp

Directions

    heat ghee in a kadai

  • 02

    add the grated carrot, beetroot and bottlegourd and saute for 5 minutes on medium flame

  • 03

    now add milk and let it boil, stirring continuously

  • 04

    when it starts boiling add cardamom powder and sugar, keep mixing

  • 05

    once the mixture becomes thick add malai and cook for 5 more minutes on low flame

  • 06

    when the mixture leaves the sides of the pan, halwa is ready

  • 07

    switch off the flame

  • 08

    garnish with chopped almonds and serve hot
