Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 cups leftover chapati dough


  • 1/2 nos ripen banana,chopped


  • 2 tbsp curd


  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds


  • 2 nos green cardamoms


  • 1/3 cups water or as required


  • 2 cups ghee for frying


  • 1/2 cups for sugar syrup:sugar


  • 1/2 cups water

Directions

  • first take the dough and divide into small portions
  • in a mixer jar add the dough, banana, curd, fennel seeds and cardamoms and crush to a smooth paste
  • add water as required and crush again
  • the batter should be thick
  • transfer the batter into a bowl and keep aside
  • now for making syrup, heat a pan
  • add sugar and water
  • cook for 4-5 minutes to make one string syrup
  • switch off the flame and keep aside
  • now heat ghee in a pan for deep frying
  • pour a spoon full of batter in the hot ghee and fry it on low flame till brown from one side
  • then turn it to fry the other side
  • once done, take it out from ghee and dip in sugar syrup for a minute
  • take them out from the syrup, sprinkle some fennel seeds and serve
