Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Whole Wheat Flour 1/4 cup

  • Jowar flour 1/2 cup

  • Amaranth Flour 1/4 cup

  • Honey 1/3 cup

  • Dates 15-20 chopped and deseeded

  • Eggs 2

  • Raw Sugar 2 tablespoon

  • Warm milk 1/4 cup

  • pure vanilla extract 1 teaspoon

  • Oil 1/4 cup

  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • Baking Soda 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon

Directions

    Sieve all the flours with baking soda, baking powder and salt for 5-6 times and keep aside.

    Beat the eggs on high speed for five minutes tills it doubles in volume.

    Add sugar and beat for another 2-3 minutes till light and fluffy.

    Add vanilla essence, honey and oil, mix well.

    Slowly add the flour mixture to this and mix lightly.

    Mix until the flour is incorporated in the mixture, don't over mix.

    Add milk according to it's requirement. The batter shouldn't too thick or thin.

    Add chopped dates and mix.

  • 09

    Pour in a greased baking dish. Put chopped dates on the top.

    Bake it in pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.
