Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Whole Wheat Flour 1/4 cup


  • Jowar flour 1/2 cup


  • Amaranth Flour 1/4 cup


  • Honey 1/3 cup


  • Dates 15-20 chopped and deseeded


  • Eggs 2


  • Raw Sugar 2 tablespoon


  • Warm milk 1/4 cup


  • pure vanilla extract 1 teaspoon


  • Oil 1/4 cup


  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon


  • Baking Soda 1/2 teaspoon


  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon

Directions

  • Sieve all the flours with baking soda, baking powder and salt for 5-6 times and keep aside.
  • Beat the eggs on high speed for five minutes tills it doubles in volume.
  • Add sugar and beat for another 2-3 minutes till light and fluffy.
  • Add vanilla essence, honey and oil, mix well.
  • Slowly add the flour mixture to this and mix lightly.
  • Mix until the flour is incorporated in the mixture, don't over mix.
  • Add milk according to it's requirement. The batter shouldn't too thick or thin.
  • Add chopped dates and mix.
  • Pour in a greased baking dish. Put chopped dates on the top.
  • Bake it in pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.
