Ingredients

  • 250 gms grams paneer


  • 2 nos medium onion


  • 1 nos green capsicum


  • 2-3 nos green chillies


  • 1.5 tbsp finely chopped garlic


  • 4 tbsp tomato sauce


  • 2 tbsp green chilli sauce


  • 1 tsp soy sauce


  • 1/2 tsp vinegar


  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 2 tbsp for marinating paneer: cornflour


  • 1 tsp flour


  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/4 tsp salt


  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder


  • 2 tbsp oil for cooking

Directions

  • Cut paneer in half inch cubes.
  • In a bowl take all purpose flour, cornflour, black pepper powder, red chilli powder, salt. Mix everything well.
  • Add water and make a smooth lump free batter. The batter should not be too thin or too thick.

  • Add cottage cheese cubes in the batter and gently coat from all sides.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the cottage cheese from all the sides till crisp golden brown in colour.
  • Heat oil in another non stick pan.
  • Next add chopped garlic and ginger and saute for few seconds.
  • Add green chillies, onions and cook for sometime till the onions are nice pink in colour.
  • Add green bell pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes. The capsicum need to be slightly cooked so it remains crunchy.
  • In a small bowl take tomato sauce, green chilli sauce, vinegar, soy sauce. Mix well.

  • Add the sauce mixture and season with salt and black pepper powder.
  • Add fried paneer pieces, mix everything well and cook for another 1-2 minutes
  • At last garnish with some spring onion greens, switch off the gas and Serve hot with fried rice or noodles.
