All purpose flour 2 1/4 cups
Sugar powder 3/4 cups
Egg 1 nos
Vegetable oil 1/4 cups
Milk 1/4 cups
Baking powder 2 tsp
Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
Sugar coarsely powdered 3 tbsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Sift all purpose flour, salt and baking powder together and keep it aside.
Whisk egg in an electric beater till frothy. Add powdered sugar to it and mix well.
Add oil, milk and vanilla essence to the egg mixture.
Whisk well till it's well combined.Now no more electric beater is required.
Divide flour into two parts before mixing. Add sifted flour to the egg mixture little by little and fold in with the spatula.
Mix well and then add next batch of flour mix. Gently mix and transfer the dough to the floured surface. Gently knead the dough. Dough may be sticky. Do not over flour.
Roll the dough into a long rope shape. Cut into oblong shape Roll the pieces on to powdered sugar.
Preheat oven to 180 degree centigrade. Arrange the pieces in a baking tray. Bake it for 10 minutes.
