Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 2 cups desicated coconut


  • 1 cups milk


  • 100 gms mawa


  • 1 cups clarified butter


  • 1 1/2 cups sugar


  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder


  • 1 pinch saffron


  • 1 tbsp fresh malai


  • 2 drop orange food colour


  • 1 tbsp cashewnut

Directions

  • Dry roast desicated coconut for 2 minutes on slow flam. And keep aside
  • Heat milk in a heavy bottom pan.
  • When milk start to boiling add sugar, Cardamom powder, Saffron and cook on slow flam.
  • When milk reduced to 1/4 of its original quantity add khoya and malai and mix well.
  • Now add desicated coconut and mix well.
  • Now add clarified butter and stir continue till its come in barfi consistency.
  • Add Orange food colour and mix well.
  • Switch off the flam and pour this mixture in grease tray.
  • Set for an hour cut into pieces and garnish with cashewnut.
