Wash the rose petals and drain all the water by pressing them between your palms and chop them roughly
Mix cardamom powder and fennel seeds with sugar.
Now Spread a layer of rose petals in a dry glass jar.
Now spread a layer of sugar over the rose petals evenly.
Then again spread a layer of petals over the sugar layer.
Repeat till all the petals are placed
Close the jar with a lid and keep it in the sunlight for 7-8 days
Mix the gulkand every other day using a clean dry spoon.
Delicious Gulkand is ready
Store in an airtight container and refrigerate.
Can be used in making gulkand kheer, rabri, shakes, paan or enjoy just a spoonful in summers.
It is very healthy and delicious and works as a coolant.
