Ingredients

Serves 2

  • basmati rice 1 cups

  • beetroot finely chopped 1 nos

  • green peas 1/4 cups

  • Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tsp

  • Onion,finely chopped 1 nos

  • Green Chili,chopped 1 nos

  • Garam Masala Powder 1/2 tsp

  • turmeric powder 1/8 tsp

  • Water 1 1/2 cups

  • Coriander Leaves,chopped 1 tsp

  • Salt or as per the taste 1/2 tsp

  • Oil 1 tsp

  • Ghee 1 tsp

  • Cloves 2 nos

  • Ciannamon Stick 1 inch

  • Cardamoms 2 nos

  • Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp

Directions

    in a pressure cooker heat oil and ghee

  • 02

    add cinamon, cloves, cardamoms and cumin seeds

  • 03

    let it splutter then add ginger garlic paste, onion and green chilli

  • 04

    fry till raw smell goes

  • 05

    then add garam masala powder and turmeric powder and fry for a minute

  • 06

    add beetroot and peas and saute for 2 minutes

  • 07

    add salt and soaked rice (wash and soak rice for 15 minutes then drain the water) and give a quick saute till the masalas are nicely coated with the rice

    add water and close the lid

  • 09

    pressure cook for 2 whistles

  • 10

    switch off the gas

  • 11

    once pressure releases open the lid and transfer the pulav into a serving bowl

  • 12

    garnish with coriander leaves and serve with raita
