Serves 4

  • Aata (wheat flour) 1/2 cups

  • Ghee 1/2 cups

  • Sugar 1/2 cups

  • Water 1 cups

  • Cardamom (crushed) 1/8 tsp

    Dissolve the sugar with water in a hot pan, add the the CARDAMOM, keep aside.

    Heat a heavy bottomed pan with ghee. Add the aata and roast till it smells and browns.

    Then add the sugar syrup into the above and stir. Cook till it leaves ghee on the sides. Serve.

    P.S : kadaprashad or aate ka halwa originally does have CARDAMOM but I added it for extra flavour.
