  • 1/2 cups aata (wheat flour)

  • 1/2 cups ghee

  • 1/2 cups sugar

  • 1 cups water

  • 1/8 tsp cardamom (crushed)


  • Dissolve the sugar with water in a hot pan, add the the CARDAMOM, keep aside.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan with ghee. Add the aata and roast till it smells and browns.
  • Then add the sugar syrup into the above and stir. Cook till it leaves ghee on the sides. Serve.
  • P.S : kadaprashad or aate ka halwa originally does have CARDAMOM but I added it for extra flavour.
