Ingredients
Serves 6
large raw shrimp with peel 1/2 kgs
onion diced 1 nos
black pepper powder 2 tsp
carrots diced 1/2 cups
bay leaf 1 nos
garlic cloves halved 1 nos
chopped parsley 1/2 cups
fresh thyme 2 tsp
kosher salt 1 tbsp
For cocktail sauce: tomato ketchup 1 cups
lemon juice 1 nos
horseradish sauce 4 tsp
hot sauce 1/2 cups
lemon wedges 2/3 nos
Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp
Directions
In a big pan add 5 cups of water,carrot,onion,garlic,lemon,parsley,thyme and bring to boil about 20 minutes.
Drop raw shrimp into the hot liquid and turn off the heat. Wait for 2 minutes then drain the water and peel the shrimp.
Refrigerate for 10 minutes before serving.
For cocktail sauce- combine all ingredients of cocktail sauce and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serve chill shrimp over cocktail sauce.
