Ingredients

Serves 6

  • large raw shrimp with peel 1/2 kgs

  • onion diced 1 nos

  • black pepper powder 2 tsp

  • carrots diced 1/2 cups

  • bay leaf 1 nos

  • garlic cloves halved 1 nos

  • chopped parsley 1/2 cups

  • fresh thyme 2 tsp

  • kosher salt 1 tbsp

  • For cocktail sauce: tomato ketchup 1 cups

  • lemon juice 1 nos

  • horseradish sauce 4 tsp

  • hot sauce 1/2 cups

  • lemon wedges 2/3 nos

  • Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp

Directions

    In a big pan add 5 cups of water,carrot,onion,garlic,lemon,parsley,thyme and bring to boil about 20 minutes.

    Drop raw shrimp into the hot liquid and turn off the heat. Wait for 2 minutes then drain the water and peel the shrimp.

  • 03

    Refrigerate for 10 minutes before serving.

  • 04

    For cocktail sauce- combine all ingredients of cocktail sauce and refrigerate until ready to serve.

    Serve chill shrimp over cocktail sauce.
