  • 250 gms amla (indian gooseberry)


  • 150 gms sugar


  • 1/4 tsp black salt

Directions

  • Boil 4 cups water in a deep pan. Add in cleaned amlas and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Switch off the flame and let the amla sit in boiling water for another 5 minutes.
  • Strain the amlas and slice it with knife.
  • Add sugar over the amlas and keep aside for a day so Amla soaks up sufficient sugar syrup.
  • Strain the amla and spread in clean cloth and keep it under direct sunlight for 2-3 days.
  • Sprinkle black salt over amla candies and store in airtight container.
