Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 3 nos ripe bananas


  • 4 nos eggs


  • 2-3 tbsp sugar


  • 1 tsp cardamom powder


  • 10 nos cashewnuts slivered


  • 10-12 nos raisins


  • 2-3 tbsp ghee/butter

Directions

  • Whisk the eggs with sugar and cardamom powder. Set aside.
  • In a non stick pan, heat the ghee and fry the cashews and the raisins. In the same pan, fry the sliced bananas for 2-3 mins. Flame should be low. Wait until it cools down a bit.
  • Now add in the eggs and mix well.
  • Cover and cook on low flame until done. It is ready in 15 -20 mins
  • This can be baked too on 180° for 20-25 mins. But i tried the slow cook method. This gives an authentic taste and flavour to the dish.
  • This is a very famous authentic dish of Malabar region of Kerala. This dish is a sweet combination of banana and egg. It is very popular and especially among the Muslim community and is relished during iftar parties.
