Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 2 cups of maida


  • 5-6 tablespoon of refined oil


  • 1 cup of water


  • 2 cups of coconut


  • 1 cup of sugar


  • 1/2 tablespoon of cardamom powder


  • 1 cup of oil for deep frying

Directions

  • Make a soft dough with maida, oil and water and keep aside
  • Now in a pan sauté 2 cups of grated coconut with sugar and cardamom powder till the coconut becomes soft and the sugar melts completely
  • Off the flame and let it cool
  • Now take a small portion of the dough and roll it flat like a Poori.
  • Now stuff 2 tablespoon of coconut in the poori and close the edges pressing them with the thumb finger
  • Continue the same process with the left over dough
  • Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying. Fry the ready gujiyas in low flame.
  • Serve in normal temperature
