First of all, dry the cooked rice under direct sunlight for nearly 2 days.
Deep fry this sun dried cooked rice in hot oil until golden brown.
In the same oil, fry peanuts,roasted bengal gram, curry leaves and cornflakes.
Also fry green chillies if desired. These are however optional.
Fry almonds too.
Combine all these in a big mixing bowl.
Sprinkle salt and red chilli powder along with chaat masala.
Squeeze lemon juice just before serving.
This is my innovative idea with the leftover rice. It will definitely make for an awesome namkeen idea for tea-time.
