Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 kgs minced meat (goat kid)


  • 1 cups fried gram


  • 1 nos onion


  • 1/2 inch ginger


  • 3 nos garlic cloves


  • 1/4 cups coconut pieces


  • 1/2 inch cinnamon


  • 3 nos cloves


  • 3 nos green chillies


  • 1 tsp fennel seed


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp salt to taste


  • 1/2 cups coriander leaves


  • 1 nos ingredients for making kurma: onion chopped


  • 3 nos tomato


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1 tsp chilli powder


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/4 tsp coconut shredded


  • 1/2 tsp fennel seed


  • 1/4 tsp oil


  • 1/2 cups salt to taste


  • 2 cups coriander leaves for garnishing

Directions

  • Grind fried gram in a blender. Keep the powder aside.
  • Boil minced meat with salt and turmeric powder for 10 minutes. Strain the broth and keep it aside. This will be used for making kurma.
  • Grind all the other ingredients coarsely and mix with cooled cooked kheema. Add coriander leaves and fried gram to the mixture.
  • Make ground kheema mixture into small balls. Steam the balls for 15 minutes. Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a wok. Add chopped onion and saute well for a minute. Add ginger garlic paste to it. Let the raw smell disappear.
  • Add chopped tomatoes to it and saute well. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt to taste.
  • Add kheema broth to the mixture. Let it boil for few minutes.
  • Grind shredded coconut and fennel seed together with little water and keep it aside.
  • Add steamed kheema balls to the boiling broth. Add ground coconut paste to it with a cup of water. Let it cook for few minutes.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves for garnishing. Mutton kheema balls kurma is ready to serve with hot rice or any Indian breads.
