Ingredients

Serves 2

  • Poppy seeds / Khaskhas 1 cups

  • Almonds 15 nos

  • Sugar 1 cups

  • Cashew nuts 15 nos

  • Ghee 1 tbsp

  • Milk 1 litre

  • Cardamom powder 2 pinch

  • Saffron strands 1 pinch

  • Raisins 15-20 nos

Directions

    Wash poppy seeds and soak in 2 cups of milk for half an hour

  • 02

    Now take soaked poppy seeds and half of almonds and cashew nuts in a blending jar

  • 03

    Make a fine paste of poppy seeds,almomds and cashew nuts

  • 04

    Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan and add poppy seeds paste

  • 05

    Sauté on low heat till ghee starts separating

  • 06

    Add milk and remaining almonds , cashew nuts and saffron strands

  • 07

    Let it cook on low heat , keep mixing and stirring in between

  • 08

    Now add sugar and let it cook for some more time

  • 09

    Milk will start thickening

  • 10

    Switch off heat and lastly add cardamom powder and raisins

  • 11

    Garnish as you like and serve hot or cold it tastes equally delicious
