Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 cups poppy seeds / khaskhas


  • 15 nos almonds


  • 1 cups sugar


  • 15 nos cashew nuts


  • 1 tbsp ghee


  • 1 litre milk


  • 2 pinch cardamom powder


  • 1 pinch saffron strands


  • 15-20 nos raisins

Directions

  • Wash poppy seeds and soak in 2 cups of milk for half an hour
  • Now take soaked poppy seeds and half of almonds and cashew nuts in a blending jar
  • Make a fine paste of poppy seeds,almomds and cashew nuts
  • Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan and add poppy seeds paste
  • Sauté on low heat till ghee starts separating
  • Add milk and remaining almonds , cashew nuts and saffron strands
  • Let it cook on low heat , keep mixing and stirring in between
  • Now add sugar and let it cook for some more time
  • Milk will start thickening
  • Switch off heat and lastly add cardamom powder and raisins
  • Garnish as you like and serve hot or cold it tastes equally delicious
