Ingredients

  • Moong dal 1 cups

  • Sugar 1 cups

  • Ghee 1 cups

  • Aata 1 tbsp

  • Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp

  • Khoya 1/2 cups

  • Sliced & fried cashew nuts, raisins 10 nos

Directions

    Wash and soak the dal overnight. Next day coarsely grind the dal and keep aside.

    Now heat ghee and add the aata. Stir for few seconds and then add the moong dal.

    Stir it continuously, while that is cooking, heat the sugar with 1/4 th cup of water to make a sugar syrup.

    Once the dal is roasted and brown in colour, add the sugar syrup and CARDAMOM powder. Cook until the halwa is cooked.

    Finally add the khoya and mix well. Cook for few more seconds and garnish with fried cashew nuts and raisins.
