Ingredients

Serves 4

  • carrots 500 gms

  • Full cream milk 300 ml

  • Sugar 1/2 cups

  • Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp

  • Ghee 3 tbsp

  • Pistachios, walnuts, almonds each finely chopped 1/8 cups

  • Saffron strands 7-8 nos

  • Nutmeg powder 1/4 tsp

  • Cloves crushed 4 nos

Directions

  • 01

    Take ghee in a wide pan and warm it.

    Add the grated carrots and milk

  • 03

    Cook on medium flame until milk nearly evaporated

  • 04

    Add the cardamom powder, sugar, nutmeg, clove powder and saffron

  • 05

    Cook on slow flame till halwa starts to leave sides of pan and ghee starts oozing.

  • 06

    Combine the chopped nuts into the halwa and put off flame

  • 07

    Serve warm with some more garnish of dried fruits
