Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 500 gms carrots


  • 300 ml full cream milk


  • 1/2 cups sugar


  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder


  • 3 tbsp ghee


  • 1/8 cups pistachios, walnuts, almonds each finely chopped


  • 7-8 nos saffron strands


  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder


  • 4 nos cloves crushed

Directions

  • Take ghee in a wide pan and warm it.
  • Add the grated carrots and milk
  • Cook on medium flame until milk nearly evaporated
  • Add the cardamom powder, sugar, nutmeg, clove powder and saffron
  • Cook on slow flame till halwa starts to leave sides of pan and ghee starts oozing.
  • Combine the chopped nuts into the halwa and put off flame
  • Serve warm with some more garnish of dried fruits
