Ingredients
Serves 4
carrots 500 gms
Full cream milk 300 ml
Sugar 1/2 cups
Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
Ghee 3 tbsp
Pistachios, walnuts, almonds each finely chopped 1/8 cups
Saffron strands 7-8 nos
Nutmeg powder 1/4 tsp
Cloves crushed 4 nos
Directions
Take ghee in a wide pan and warm it.
Add the grated carrots and milk
Cook on medium flame until milk nearly evaporated
Add the cardamom powder, sugar, nutmeg, clove powder and saffron
Cook on slow flame till halwa starts to leave sides of pan and ghee starts oozing.
Combine the chopped nuts into the halwa and put off flame
Serve warm with some more garnish of dried fruits
