mix rawa wid curd by adding little water n keep for fermenting for atleast 15 mins
once ur batter is fermented if necessary add sum water accordingly . Divide the batter into 2 equal parts . One part make the plain idlis by just adding 1tsp of soda
The other part
Just add 1 onion finely chopped,1 carrot grated,1 capsicum,1 teaspoon red chilli powder,1 teaspoon amchur powder,1 teaspoon amchur powder,coriander leaves
Mix well.
Finally give rai ka tadka to the batter
Add 1 teaspoon baking soda
Mix well n steam for 10 mins.
Have a tooth pik test it shud come out clean.
Remove the idli mould from the steamer n let it cool for 3_4 mins and then remove.
Serve with hot sambhar or chutney.
A very different type of sambhar
Recipe for sambhar
Boil tur dal along with 1 onion n potato cut into very small pieces.
Meanwhile in another pan heat oil add mustard seeds wen they start spiltering add onion cut into lenghtwise n saute till pinkish.
Add green chillies curry leaves n stir well ..
Now add red chilli powder n mix well.
Add the tomato puree salt n cook on medium flame till oil seperates.
Add the boiled dal ..but before adding the dal. Jst mix it well with the wooden dal ghotni so that onion n potato gets mashed n there are no lumps in dal..
Add the tamarind pulp n let it boil for 15_20 mins..
Finally at the last add sambhar masala stir well n off the flame..
Garnish with coriander.
Now take 1 tablespoon of oil n 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder..n gv tadka.(optional)
