Pork Curry/How to make masala pork curry

Description

Pork is my most favourite. In North Eastern States of India no party or occasions is complete without pork dishes. So here today I am sharing a recipe of pork masala curry mildly spicy, flavorful and delicious pork Curry made with flavorful masala and chunks of potatoes. It is quite an easy and simple recipe and can be prepared in jiffy and the end result is a flavorful and succulent curry.

Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 500 gms pork


  • 2 nos potato,medium cut into pieces


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 5 nos dry cherry chilly


  • 1 nos bay leaf


  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste,freshly grounded


  • 1 nos onion,chopped


  • 1 nos tomato,chopped


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp peppercorns,cracked


  • 2 tsp kashmiri chilly powder


  • 2 tsp garam masala


  • 1 tsp meat masala


  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste


  • 2 cups water

Directions

  • Take a pressure cooker and add the oil. Add the chillies, bay leaf and saute for a min.
  • Add 1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste and saute for a min. Add the onion and saute till translucent. Add chopped tomatoes and saute till mushy. Add the masala powder and saute for a min.
  • Add the pork, salt and saute for around 5 mins stirring coating the masalas nicely with the pork. Add some water, potatoes and pressure cook for 10 mins. Let the pressure release by itself.
  • Open the cooker and adjust the gravy consistency as per your requirement and just before turning off the heat add the remaining 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, give a quick stir and take off the heat.
