Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 cups grated lauki


  • 2 cups full fat milk


  • 1 tbsp ghee


  • 1/3 cups sugar


  • 1/2 cups mawa/khoya


  • 10 nos cashewnuts chopped


  • 10 nos almond chopped


  • 15 nos rasisins

Directions

  • First, wash lauki in running water and then peel it. After peeling grate it from all sides and discard the part having seeds.
  • Squeeze out water from grated lauki completely.
  • Heat ghee in a pan over medium flame, add grated lauki and saute it for 3-4 minute and stir continuously.
  • Add milk and mix well and bring mixture to a boil. When it starts boiling, reduce flame to low and cook it until milk is absorbed.
  • Add sugar and mix well, cook until sugar melts.
  • Add mawa (khoya) and mix well next add cashew nuts, raisins, and almond and mix well.
  • Stir continuously and cook until most moisture is evaporated and mixture turns thick (approx 3-4 minutes).
  • Turn off the flame and mix it properly. Transfer it to a serving bowl and serve.
  • Delicious lauki halwa is ready
