Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 2 nos boiled and mashed potatoes - medium sized


  • 1 nos onion


  • 1/2 cups green peas


  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric


  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder


  • 5-6 nos curry leaves


  • 1/2 tsp amchur powder


  • 1 tsp salt to taste


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 5-6 nos coriadner leaves


  • 2 nos brown bread slices


  • 3 tsp butter

Directions

  • Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they start to crackle add curry leaves and ginger.
  • Next, add onion and saute them. Add the green peas and let it cook for a minute.
  • Add turmeric, salt, red chili powder, garam masala and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add coriander leaves, amchur powder and lastly add the mashed potatoes and mix thoroughly.Let it cook for 3-4 minutes on medium flame and then keep it aside.
  • Apply some butter on one slice of bread and spread the aloo bhaji on top and cover with the other slice. Toast the sandwich.
  • Enjoy brown bread veg sandwich with ketchup or green chutney.
