Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 500 gms beef


  • 2 nos onion,big


  • 1 tsp ginger(crushed)


  • 1 tsp garlic(crushed)


  • 1 nos tomato(big)


  • 2 sprig curry leaves


  • 2 sprig green chillies


  • 1 tsp fennel seeds


  • 1/4 tsp fenugreek


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 3 tsp coriander powder


  • 1/2 tsp chilly powder


  • 1 tsp meat masala


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder


  • 1/2 cups cococnut oil


  • 1 tsp salt,some to taste


  • 1 sprig coriander leaves,some to garnish

Directions

  • Cut beef into small pieces.
  • Boil half glass of water in cooker and add beef, salt and a pinch each of turmeric and garam masala powders and mix well.
  • Cook under the lid for 4 to 5 whistles. Beef cooking time may very based on the meat quality. Do not over cook the meat
  • Heat 2 tbsp of coconut oil in a kadai or a pan.
  • Add fenugreek seeds and then sliced onion.
  • Add salt, cover and let simmer.
  • Add chopped tomato. Let simmer, till the oil is separated.
  • Add all the powders and fennels
  • Saute, till it emits the aroma of getting roasted.
  • Add the beef pieces to this masala. :- Keep the stock. You may need it.
  • Mix the meat and masala well.
  • Add a bit stock, if the masala is too dry to be mixed.
  • Add 2 more tbsp of oil and saute.The longer you fry it,tastier it will be.
  • Garnish this with cilantro and tomato.
