dark chocolate broken into pieces (I used Morde) 152 gms
Butter 55 gms
Brown Sugar 1 cups
Egg 2 nos
Instant coffee powder(dissolved in tbsp water) 1 tbsp
All Purpose Flour 100 gms
Baking Powder 1/2 tsp
Almonds(roughly chopped) 50 gms
Preheat the oven to 180 degree c.
Line a square baking tray with baking sheet.
Place the chocolate and butter in a pan on low heat untill melted.(Dont burn the mixture).cool the mixture.
In a medium mixing bowl, cream the eggs and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs. With the mixer on low speed,
mix with the melted chocolate and butter mixture.
Sift the flour and the baking powder and mix with the chocolate mix.
Then carefully add the nuts.Mix well.Batter should not be very loose.
Pour the batter in the prepared baking pan. Spread it to even out the surface.
Bake until the center is no longer soft, 40 to 45 minutes. Set the brownies aside to cool completely.
Once its cooled completely run a knife round the edge of the cake to loosen it.
turn the cake out onto a wire rack, remove the line paper and cut into squares and serve.
