Ingredients

Serves 2

  • Rice 1/2 cups

  • Whole Urad Dal 2 tbsp

  • Red Food Colouring 1/2 tsp

  • Baking Powder 1/4 tsp

  • Sugar 1 cups

  • Water 1 cups

  • Oil 200 ml

Directions

    Soak Rice and Urad dal for 2 hr.

    Drain them and add it to a blender and grind to a very thick smooth paste.

    add very little water just rotate the blender

  • 04

    Add food coloring and baking powder and mix well.

    Take 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water in a sauce pan. Heat it and mix it well till the sugar is melted and bring it to boil

    untill it is in a syrupy consistency.

    Heat oil in a pan and using spoon take small portion of the batter and drop in hot oil, fry till the outer layer is crispy.

    drain it.

    Now dip the fried balls in sugar syrup and soak it for 2-3 mins.
