Mix flour, baking powder and baking soda , combine well.
Now ad softened butter and mix well.
Then add milk little by little to form a soft dough. Knead it again for 10 mins. (make it a soft and non sticky dough without any cracks)
Make the dough into equal lemon sized balls and take one ball and flatten with your palm, then press it in the center with your thumb.(Donut like shape)
Heat the oil for deep frying the badushas.
Add sugar and water in a pan to make the sugar syrup. When the sugar syrups forms to a single string consistency add the lemon juice.(Or else it will turn into crystals) and turn off the heat.
When the oil is hot slowly put the badusha and if the oil is too hot you can even switch off the flame and cook it because if its too hot your badusha may turn brown fast but inside it wont be cooked. So cook it in a very low flame.
Once its cooked,it will turn into a nice brown color then transfer it into prepared sugar syrup immediately. Dip well on both sides,
keep immersed for 30mins then transfer it to a tray .
It tastes soft and juicy the next day.
NOTES:The badushas can be stored for 4-5 days at room temperature.
