Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Honey Comb bread:all-purpose flour (Maida) 2 cups

  • Milk 160 ml

  • Sugar 3 tbsp

  • Baking Powder 1/4 tsp

  • Melted Butter 3 tbsp

  • Instant Yeast 2 tsp

  • Salt 1/2 tsp

  • Cream cheese 150 gms

  • Sugar 1 cups

  • Water 1 cups

  • Lemon Juice 1/2 tsp

    Sugar syrup:Boil the sugar and water for 10 min .

    Add lemon juice and boil untill it is slightly thickened.

    Remove from the heat and set aside to cool completely.

    For the Bread: In a bowl add sifted flour,sugar,salt, baking powder, yeast and mix well.

    Add the butter and milk.Knead for 10 min untill the dough is soft.

    Cover the dough in a bowl and keep for 1 hr untill its double the size.

    Knead the dough again and using a knife cut the dough into half and cut the half portion

    into small small pieces of equal size.

    Take each dough piece and stretch it out with your fingers, add a small piece of cheese in its center.

    Bring the edges together and form a small ball Repeat this with all the dough pieces.

    Grease your cake pan with butter. Place the balls of dough in the round cake pan touching each other.

    Cover the pan and set aside for a 30 min to rise.

    Preheat the oven at 180?C and bake for 20 to 25 min until the bread is nice and golden on top.

    Remove from the oven and pour sugar syrup all over the hot bread.(Syrup should be cool)
