  • 1 nos tunas in tin

  • 1 cups maida/wheat powder

  • 1 nos onion(finely chopped)

  • 10 gms butter

  • 2 nos garlic cloves(finely chopped)

  • 1 nos green chili(finely chopped)

  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp ginger(finely chopped)

  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder

  • 1 tsp salt some to taste


  • Make batter for chappathi with the wheat flour,salt and water.Keep it aside for 25 min.
  • Make it into small lemon shaped balls and keep aside.
  • Squeeze out tuna from tin and mix it with salt and pepper powder.
  • Heat this mix in a fry pan coated with butter, fry well until cooked.
  • Take this mix in bowl and mix it with all other ingredients.
  • Take the dough balls and flatten it and keep the tuna mix in the center.
  • Fold the flattened dough as shown in the picture.
  • Steam it this in a steamer or idly steamer,it will take approximately 15 min.
  • Momos is ready
  • Dipping sauce:Boil 1 tomato and deseeded dry red chilly in water and filter it .
  • Grind this along with salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder without water.
  • Flattened dough should be soft like dough for poories.
  • Momos should be steamed in oil coated steamer.
