Ingredients

Serves : 1
  • 1 cups broccoli florets(washed, drained & chopped)


  • 1/4 cups grated coconut


  • 1 nos garlic


  • 1 tsp chilly powder


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 pinch cumin seeds


  • 2-3 nos pearl onions(chopped)


  • 1-2 nos dried red chillies


  • 1/2 tbsp mustard


  • 1/2 tsp urad daal


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 200 ml oil


  • 1 tsp salt to taste

Directions

  • Crush the grated coconut with other ingredients,i.e grated coconut,chilly powder,turmeric powder and a small pinch of cumin seeds and keep it aside.
  • In a frying pan, heat oil and splutter mustard. Then add the curry leaves, red chilly pieces, urid daal, sliced onion and green chilly and saut? well.
  • When done, add the broccoli pieces with a small pinch of salt and turmeric. Fry in medium flame. Cover and leave it for a few minutes. 4. Once the broccoli turns soft, add the crushed coconut and stir well. Remove from fire, when dry.
  • Serve with hot rice & gravy.
  • * Ensure not to overcook it. * Usually water comes out of this vegetable while cooking, so no need to add water.
