Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 2 cups grated coconut


  • 1 1/2 cups sugar


  • 1/4 cups milk


  • 1/4 cups water


  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powdered

Directions

  • Take water in a pan, add the sugar and bring it to boil. Continue boiling till the mixture reaches 2 string constituency.
  • Now add the grated coconut, milk and powdered cardamom. Keep the pan on low flame and stir continuously.
  • When the mixture starts to leave the edge of the pan, remove from heat. Divide this mixture to 3 parts and add the colours to 2 parts, saffron and green.
  • Take a flat vessel, grease it and place the mixture in 3 layers making the tricolour, starting with green at the bottom. Make square shape slices and leave it to cool.
  • Once cool, take each square and serve it on a platter.
