Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Jeera Rice 2 cups

  • Prawns 1/2 kgs

  • Ghee 4 tsp

  • Bay Leaves 3 nos

  • Cardamom 2 nos

  • Cinnamon crushed 1 tsp

  • Cloves 3 nos

  • Star anise 2 nos

  • Red Chili Powder 2 tsp

  • Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp

  • Coriander Powder 3 tsp

  • Garam Masala 1/2 tsp

  • Biriyani Masala 1 tsp

  • Pudina Leaves 1 cups

  • Coriander Leaves,chopped 1 cups

  • Green Chili ,sliced 3 nos

  • Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tsp

  • Curry Leaves 1 sprig

  • Tomatoes,sliced 2 nos

  • Salt to taste 1 tsp

  • Onion,medium sized,sliced 4 nos

  • Water 1/2 cups

    Wash rice and soak for half an hour by adding salt.

    In a bowl marinate prawns with ingredients from 4 to 19.

    (bay leaves to salt)

    In a pan saute half of the onion and tomatoes in 2 teaspoon of ghee and add it to the

    marinade and mix well. Keep the marinade aside for 2 to 4 hours.

    In a cooker add water and 2 teaspoon ghee.

    Add the remaining onion and tomatoes as a layer.

    Add the prawns marinade above that.

    Add soaked rice as another layer

  • 10

    Close the lid and cook in high flame till 6 whistles.

    Open the lid after pressure settles down, mix well and serve hot.
