Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 5 nos ripe banana / plantain(kerala banana- nethrppazham)


  • 10 tbsp grated coconut


  • 5 tbsp sugar


  • 5 nos cartdamom


  • 8 nos cashew nuts


  • 2 tbsp ghee


  • 5 tbsp oil


  • 50 gms maida


  • 10 nos raisins


  • 1/2 cups water


  • 1/2 pinch salt

Directions

  • Heat a non stick pan with the ghee and add grated coconut.
  • Keep sauteing and add cashew nuts, raisins, cardamom and sugar and fry all.
  • In a bowl , make thick batter using maida, sugar and water- its for covering the slit fillings.
  • Peel the banana and make small shallow slits by removing black seed part of banana.
  • Fill the slits of banana by using above fried coconut mixture.
  • Coat the batter over slit.
  • Heat oil and fry carefully on low flame until it become brown color
  • Ready for serving.
