Description

Momo is a type of South Asian dumpling; native to Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim state and Darjeeling district of India. It is similar to Chinese baozi and jiaozi, Mongolian buuz, Japanese gyoza and Korean mandu.

Ingredients

Serves : 1
  • 500 gms chicken (finely chopped and cooked)


  • 500 gms maida


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 1/2 tbsp salt


  • 1 tsp garlic


  • 1 tsp ginger(finely chopped)


  • 200 gms carrot


  • 300 gms cabbage


  • 250 kgs capsicum


  • 200 kgs french beans


  • 250 kgs green onion


  • 1/2 tsp soya sauce


  • 1 tsp chili sauce


  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder


  • 1 nos salt

Directions

  • Finely cut all vegetables. Cook the chicken with out born and chop very nice.
  • Add 1 teaspoon oil, salt and water into maida and make dough like poroto dough.
  • Cover the dough and keep aside around 20 minutes.
  • Heat the pan with 1 table spoon oil, add ginger and garlic.
  • Then add all finely copped vegetables.
  • After 5 minute, add chilly sauce, soy sauce and pepper powder.
  • Make small balls from dough and flatten, then roll out like small disc of 4inch diameter.
  • Fill the 1 table spoon veg contents and 1 table spoon chicken. Fold the edge little inside and backside like potli and join them.
  • Then cook them using steamer.
  • Then serve into plate with momo chutteny or Schezwan sauce
