Description

Kaipola is a traditional sweet Malabar dish which serves during the festive and iftar. Its rich with egg and banana, similar to cake, but not backing included. Simple and yummy tea time snack.

Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 6 nos egg


  • 750 gms plantains(ripe banana0


  • 6 tsp sugar


  • 1 tbsp cardamom powder


  • 2 tbsp ghee


  • 3 tbsp oil(sun flower or coconut oil)


  • 8 nos cashew nut


  • 12 nos raisins

Directions

  • Peel out the outer skin of Banana and cut the banana into small rectangle pieces.
  • Fry the banana in pan using oil upto it get golden brown color.
  • Then fry the cashew and raisins.
  • In a bowl add 6 eggs and mix very well using spoon, then add cardamom powder, fried banana, cashew nut and raisins .
  • Then cook the above mixture in a pan using ghee under a low flame for 20 minutes.
  • The sweet yummy Malabar traditional Kaipola is ready.
