Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups cabbage(grated)


  • 10 nos shallots(sliced)


  • 3 nos green chilly(slit)


  • 1/2 cups coconut(grated)


  • 2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 2 nos garlic cloves


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 tsp salt,some to taste


  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Directions

  • Crush together grated coconut, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, garlic and 2 nos of shallots. ( if you are using mixer grinder, just pulse two or three times).
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds an allow them to splutter.
  • Add sliced shallots, green chilli and curry leaves and saut? for two minutes.
  • Add the grated cabbage, salt and mix well. Cook uncovered on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add crushed coconut mixture and mix well. Cook further for 2 mints and remove from the heat.
