Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 500 gms broccoli florets


  • 200 gms paneer/ cottage cheese grated


  • 3 nos onion,chopped


  • 1 nos carrot,chopped


  • 1 cups coconut,grated


  • 5-6 nos garlic cloves


  • 4 nos green chili (slit)


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp salt to taste


  • 2 tbsp oil

Directions

  • Wash the broccoli in water, drain and finely chop the florets.
  • Crush together grated coconut, garlic and a pinch of turmeric powder.
  • Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard and cumin seeds.
  • Add chopped onions, green chilies, curry leaves and saut? until the onions turn translucent.
  • Add turmeric powder and saute for a minute.
  • Add chopped carrot and broccoli and salt. Mix well. Cook for about 2-3 minutes (no need to add water).
  • Add crushed coconut, mix well and cook till the broccoli is tender.
  • Add grated paneer and stir fry for a few minutes or until the thoran is dry.
  • Serve hot with Chappathi/Roti/Rice.
