Cook one cup of ponni rice and smash it a bit.
Take a pan, splutter mustard seeds, urad dal, roasted grams,add grated ginger ,dried chillies and curry leaves to it. saute well.
Take 1.5 cup of curd and 1 cup of milk and mix well, add salt to taste.
mix rice , curd and milk mix and the sauted ingredients together , add a pinch of asafoeteda powder.
garnish with coriander leaves.
Its a perfect main course meal which can have alone or with raitha, pappad, kondattams or pickle.
I have served curd rice with fried curd chillies , home made rice flakes and lemon pickle
