Robusta / banana 2 nos
Whole Wheat Flour 3/4 cups
Sugar 1/4 cups
Vegetable Oil or Melted Butter 2 tbsp
Egg 2 nos
Vanilla Essence 2 tbsp
Salt 1 pinch
Baking Powder 3/4 tbsp
Mix egg with salt and beat till fluffy.
Add oil and powdered sugar and beat again.
Add vanilla essence, blend finally for 10 more seconds. keep aside.
Mash bananas with a fork, gently mix it with the egg batter with a fork .
Mix wheat flour and baking powder and filter it with a flour filter,
Mix it slowly to the egg batter and mix well with a fork until lumps are gone.
Grease a pan with butter, place a butter paper in it. fill the bowl with 3/4 the batter.
Preheat the cooker.
Place 5 tbsp of salt on the base of the cooker and keep a plate over salt. cover the lid of cooker without whistle weight for 5 minutes. salt helps to maintain constant heat throughout, like normal.
Slowly open the cooker lid, carefully place the bowl of batter over the plate. since its so hot, take extreme care. close the lid. wait for 35 to 45 minutes on medium flame.
Check with a toothpick after 30 minutes, whether it's clean.
If the toothpick is clean, take the cake slowly out from the cooker. take the cake upside down, let it cool for 20 minutes.
