Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Basmati rice 1 cups

  • Sugar 1 cups

  • Milk 1 litre

  • Almonds 10 nos

  • Cashew nuts 10 nos

  • Dry figs 10 nos

  • Raisins 10-15 nos

  • Ghee 1 tbsp

  • Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp

Directions

    First of all wash rice and soak in sufficient water for 10 to 15 minutes

  • 02

    Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan , and sauté all chopped dry fruits for some time amd remove

  • 03

    Remove excess water from rice

  • 04

    Now sauté soaked rice in ghee till golden in colour

  • 05

    Add milk in to rice and cook on low heat .. with consistent stirring

  • 06

    Once the rice is cooked add sugar , dry fruits and cardamom powder

  • 07

    Mix well and cook for some more time till sugar completely dissolves

    Switch of the heat

  • 09

    Dry fruits and Rice kheer is ready to serve , garnish with some more sauteed dry fruits on top , before serving

    Enjoy endlessly with family and friends , hot or cold
