Dry Fruits And Rice Kheer

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cups basmati rice


  • 1 cups sugar


  • 1 litre milk


  • 10 nos almonds


  • 10 nos cashew nuts


  • 10 nos dry figs


  • 10-15 nos raisins


  • 1 tbsp ghee


  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Directions

  • First of all wash rice and soak in sufficient water for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan , and sauté all chopped dry fruits for some time amd remove
  • Remove excess water from rice
  • Now sauté soaked rice in ghee till golden in colour
  • Add milk in to rice and cook on low heat .. with consistent stirring
  • Once the rice is cooked add sugar , dry fruits and cardamom powder
  • Mix well and cook for some more time till sugar completely dissolves
  • Switch of the heat
  • Dry fruits and Rice kheer is ready to serve , garnish with some more sauteed dry fruits on top , before serving
