Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 cups basamati rice


  • 3/4 cups sugar


  • 10 nos chopped almonds


  • 10 nos chopped cashew nuts


  • 10-12 nos chopped pistachios


  • 10-15 nos raisins


  • 1 pinch cardamom powder


  • 1-2 pinch edible orange colour


  • 3 cups water


  • 2 nos cloves


  • 1 tbsp ghee


  • 1 tbsp grated coconut

Directions

  • First of all wash rice and soak in sufficient water for some time
  • Heat ghee in a pan and shallow fry all chopped dry fruits for some time and keep aside.
  • In the same pan, now add cloves in to ghee and add rice ,sauté for some time
  • Now add water and allow it cook covered completely , check in between
  • Add sugar ,grayed coconut, edible orange colour and fried dry fruits . Mix well everything and cook till sugar dissolves completely
  • Cook it uncovered and sauté lightly im between
  • Now its ready to serve , add some more ghee before serving . It tastes equally yum hot or cold
