Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 cups peanut butter


  • 4-5 tbsp honey


  • 1 cups oatmeal


  • 1 1/2 cups museli


  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder

Directions

  • Transfer the peanut butter into a saucepan and heat on medium low heat.Once the peanut butter has melted, add the honey, give it a good mix and remove from heat.
  • Meanwhile, mix the muesli, oats and cocoa powder in a large mixing bowl.To this dry mixture, add the melted peanut-butter honey mixture and stir well until thoroughly mixed.
  • If you feel the mixture is too dry, add some honey or more melted peanut butter or pop it into the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Roll into balls or any shape of your choice of size and enjoy these energy bites for breakfast, as a mid morning snack or as a treat in your or your kids’ lunch box.
  • You can make it totally with oats or muesli.Cornflakes also are a good option, but you may have to crush it a bit.
  • To make it crispier, you can roast the oats for a few minutes in a dry saucepan.
  • Feel free to use any nuts, raisins, dry fruits etc including maybe chocolate chip; adjust the amount of peanut butter and honey accordingly.Store in refrigerator to maintain freshness.
