Ingredients

  • FOR RED VELVET CAKE :Unsalted butter(for grease the cake pan) 2 tbsp

  • Cake flour or maida(not self-rising) 1 cups

  • Granulated sugar 1 cups

  • Vegetable oil 1/2 cups

  • Large eggs (Vegeterian people can use 1/4cup beaten yoghurt) 2 nos

  • Red food colouring 3-4 drop

  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp

  • Milk(Room Temperature) 1/2 cups

  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp

  • Baking Powder 1 1/2 tsp

  • FOR MAKING RED VELVET CAKE BALLS :Red velvet cake 1 nos

  • Cream Cheese 1/2 cups

  • Butter (softened ) 1/2 cups

  • Vanilla essence 2-3 drop

  • Powdered sugar or Icing sugar 3/4 cups

  • Cooking chocolate(I don't have dark chocolate so I used pink chocolate, if you want you can use dark chocolate ) 1 cups

  • Colourfull Sprinkles(optional) 1/2 cups

Directions

    To Make RED VELVET CAKE:Heat oven to 350 degrees F or 180 degreeC.

    Grease butter the cake pan.

    In a medium bowl, whisk cake flour, baking powder and baking soda ....set aside.

    In another bowl combine the sugar and oil, and beat until well combined. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add vanilla and milk and beat until well combined. Add flour mixture slowly scraping the sides of the bowl with a spatula as needed.

    Mix red food colur with the batter.

    Pour the batter into greased cake pan.

    Tap the pan .

    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean

    Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes. please do not skip this step because the cake needs to be cool.

    To Make RED VELVET CAKE BALLS:Remove cream cheese from fridge.

    In a medium bowl pour the cream cheese, butter,sugar and vanilla. Mix with whisk for 2-3 minutes until the mixture begins to solidify and does not have any more lumps. Set aside.

    Crumb the cooled cake into tiny pieces . Pour the cream cheese butter mixture on the crumb cake and mix together with a spoon or spatula until everything is well combined.

    Line a tray with wax paper or or foil. With a spoon take small portion of mixture and make 1 inch balls by hand.

    After all the balls are formed,cover the tray with plastic wrap and place in the freezer for 15 minutes.

    While the balls are in the freezer melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring between increments, until smooth.

    Remove the balls from the freezer and dip each ball into the chocolate mixture and place on pan.

    Spread sprinkles on top of the cake balls and keep them in refrigerator for 30 minutes

    After that take out from refrigerator and enjoy.
