Banana Oats Loaf Cake

  • 1/2 cups all purpose flour

  • 1/2 cups oats

  • 1 nos large riped banana

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • Baking Powder 1/4 tsp

  • 1/2 cups sugar

  • 1/4 cups oil

  • 1/4 cups milk

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla essence

  • 2 tbsp oats for garnish

  • 1 tbsp white and black sesame seeds for garnish


  • Seive the flour, baking powder and baking soda in a bowl. Add the oats and mix them well together.
  • Mash the banana with a fork or you can use a blender. Add sugar and milk, stir and let sugar dissolve. Add vanilla essence and oil and mix.
  • Add the flour mixture and fold gently to make a smooth batter.
  • Grease a cake pan. Preheat the oven for 10 mins @180°.
  • Pour the batter into the greased pan. Garnish with oats and sesame seeds and bake for 30 mins. A tooth pick inserted should come out clean.
  • Remove from oven, let it cool down completely, demould, cut and serve.
