To Make Caramel Syrup:Take a bowl,add 4 teaspoon of sugar and 2 teaspoon of water and mix.
Heat it on high flame until it starts bubbling.
Reduce the heat till it changes colour.
Switch off the gas and pour 1/4cup warm water,mix properly .
Let it be cool and then use it,So it is better your caramel syrup before.
To make Cake:Preheat the oven to 180 degree C for 10 minutes
Take a big mixing bowl,add eggs and sugar,whisk it properly with hand beater or electric beater.
Add rum,butter or oil and caramel syrup into the egg mixture. Mix them properly until you will get a smooth consistency
Sieve flour, baking powder,nutmeg powder and cinnamon powder in a bowl,mix them properly.
Add all the dry fruits into the flour mixture,fold them properly as all dried fruits gets coated properly with flour.
Add flour mixture into the liquid mixture gradually,and fold them with a spatula.Do not mix so fast,slowly fold the flour mixture with liquid mixture until you will get a smooth batter without lumps

After putting mixture in the pan and smoothing the surface, hold the pan with two hands and drop the tin three times to remove air bubbles.
Garnish the top surface of cake with sliced almonds and cherries.
Bake for 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Baking times are vary because we all use different oven,so keep checking.
Remove from oven,let it be cool. Turn the cake onto a plate,slice them and enjoy.
