Ingredients

Serves : 8
  • 3/4 cups for cake:all purpose flour


  • 1/4 cups almond powder(grind to make a fine powder)


  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder


  • 1 pinch baking soda


  • 8 tsp cocoa powder


  • 3/4 cups granulated sugar


  • 2 nos eggs (vegetarians people can add 1/3 cup beaten yogurt instead of using eggs)


  • 1/2 cups milk


  • 1/2 cups vegetable oil


  • 2 tsp vanilla essence


  • 3/4 cups butter honey roasted chopped almonds


  • 2 tsp for making butter honey roasted almonds :butter


  • 1/4 cups honey


  • 1 cups almonds(soaked, peeled and chopped )


  • 100 gms for making chocolate ganache:dark chocolate(broken into pieces)


  • 1 cups heavy cream

Directions

  • Method of making butter honey roasted almonds:Heat butter in a pan
  • Add chopped almonds,fry them until light brown
  • Add honey, mix well,cook for 1 minute and switch off the gas.
  • Method of making chocolate ganache:Place the broken chocolate into a medium bowl.
  • Make sure chop the chocolate into small pieces so it will melt easily.
  • Heat the cream in a small sauce pan over medium heat. When the cream has come to a boil, pour over the chopped chocolate, and whisk until melted and smooth.
  • Allow the ganache to cool slightly before pouring over a cake.
  • Microwave method of making chocolate ganache: Melt the chocolate on half power for approximately 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
  • Add the cream and mix thoroughly until smooth and glossy.
  • Method to Make Cake:Preheat the oven to 180 degree C for 10 minutes.
  • Grease the cake tin with vegetable Oil.
  • In a large bowl add together all purpose flour, almond powder,baking powder, baking soda and cocoa powder and butter honey roasted almonds,mix well.
  • Take another big bowl, add sugar, vegetable oil, vanilla essence. eggs or beaten yogurt, milk,mix them very well until become a creamy texture.
  • Add flour mixture slowly to the liquid mixture,add little quantity at a time and then fold with spatula then again add some more flour mixture to the liquid mixture and fold. Do the process until the dry and wet ingredients are well combined.
  • Pour the batter in the greased pan,tap the pan a couple of times so the batter is spread evenly and there are no air bubbles.
  • Bake for about 40 minutes,or insert a toothpick,if inserted toothpick comes out clean then your cake is ready.Now allow to cool the cake for 1 hour before doing garnishing .
  • Take a grill rack of oven,put the rack on a big plate,place the cake on the grill wrack.Pour the ganache over the cake,start at the centre of the cake and work outward.
  • Garnish the side of cake with butter honey roasted almonds.
