  • 1 1/4 cups maida

  • 1/4 cups corn flour

  • 2/3 cups butter

  • 2/3 cups brown sugar

  • 2 nos eggs

  • 1/4 cups orange juice

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp nutmeg powder

  • 2/3 cups soaked fruits


  • Preheat the oven for 15 mins in 200 degree Celsius
  • Grease a baking pan and line it with a butter paper
  • In a mixing bowl add all the dry ingredients except sugar and shift it twice
  • Bring room temperatured butter. If its cold one don't worry , grate it with a grater
  • In another mixing bowl add butter and sugar and beat properly up to fluffy.
  • Then add 1 egg and beat up to well Incorporated.
  • Now add another one and beat again.
  • When done add vanilla extract and mix again .
  • Now add soaked fruits to it and mix.
  • Now its time to fold dry ingredients. Mix the dry ingredients in two batches and also orange juice. Add alternatively and mix well
  • Now pour the mixture to the Already lined baking pan. Tap on the platform twice
  • Now bake the bske for 35 mins in 180 degree Celsius
  • It may take more time as the oven temperature may differ
  • Bake ths up to the tooth pick comes out clean.
