Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 1 1/2 cups flour


  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • 1 nos grated lind of lemon


  • 1 tbsp salt


  • 120 gms soft butter


  • 200 gms sugar


  • 2 nos eggs


  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  • 1/2 piece juice of lemon


  • 1/2 cups yoghurt


  • 2 tbsp sugar


  • 1 cups powdered sugar


  • 1 tbsp milk


  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease and flour bread baking pan.
  • In a bowl mix flour, lemon zest and salt.
  • In another bowl, grasp the butter and 200g sugar with a mixer until blooming
  • Add eggs, one by one, juice of 1/2 lemon and vanilla extract.
  • To the wet mixture add flour mixture and yoghurt.
  • Pour the mixture into baking pan and bake for 30-40min. When the cake is ready, allow to cool completely in the pan.
  • During the time, prepare the syrup. Put together 2 tbsp. sugar and juice of 1/2 lemon on the stove.
  • Stir until the sugar is melted. Set aside to cool.
  • Finally, prepare the glaze by mix 2 tbsp. lemon juice with the powdered sugar and milk until a white glaze. Dizzle the cake with the glaze and decorate with additional lemon.
