Ingredients

Serves : 8
  • 2 nos for cake, eggs


  • 1/2 cups butter


  • 1/2 cups sugar


  • 1/2 cups brown sugar


  • 1/4 tsp salt


  • 1/2 tsp vanilla


  • 1/4 cups flour


  • 1/4 cups cocoa powder


  • 114 gms semi sweet chocolate


  • 2 cups for ice cream filling, chocolate ice cream


  • 1/4 cups for chocolate sauce, cocoa powder


  • 2 tbsp sugar


  • 1/2 cups water


  • 200 ml for chocolate cream, whipping cream


  • 2 tbsp sugar


  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder


  • 100 ml for ganache, cream


  • 100 gms semisweet chocolate

Directions

  • To make chocolate sauce, first add water, cocoa powder and sugar to a pan and place it over flame till sugar completely dissolves.
  • Let bubbles just begin to appear and off the flame and pour in a bowl and refrigerate.
  • To make cake,
  • For cake, preheat oven to 200°C and line a baking tray to get thin slices with butter paper and grease with butter.
  • Combine both sugars, eggs, and vanilla together.
  • Double boil butter and chocolate till complety melted and pour to egg mixture.
  • Add flour, cocoa powder and salt and mix completely.
  • Pour the batter into the tray and bake for 15min or till toothpick inserted centre comes out clean.
  • With a round cookie cutter cut a circle of the cake.
  • Cut the other pieces into rectangles and triangles.
  • Take a freezer safe bowl and line with plastic wrap.
  • Place the round cake at the bottom and the rectangles and triangles at the sides to form a dome.
  • Press the cake pieces nicely so that it is completely filled. Cut off the excess.
  • Spread the softened ice cream into the cake and place a small glass bowl wrapped with plastic onto it and press to create a well and place in freezer till ice cream is hard.
  • for chocolate cream, whip together whipping cream, sugar, and cocoa powder.
  • Remove from freezer and pour the chocolate sauce over it.
  • And add the chocolate cream and spread the remaning cake pieces over it and cover with plastic wrap and keep in freezer till cream hardens.
  • to prepare ganache pour cream in pan and heat till it begins to bubble on top. pour it over chocolate in a bowl and mix till chocolate completely melts.
  • Remove from freezer and remove plastic and place upside down on plate and pour the ganache over it. Decorate with whip cream ( optional).
