Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups organic whole wheat


  • 1/2 cups powdered oats


  • 3/4 cups organic raw sugar


  • 1/4 cups cocoa powder


  • 1/4 cups chopped dark chocoalate


  • 1/3 cups pitted and chopped fresh cherries


  • 2 nos eggs


  • 1/4 cups oil


  • 1/4 cups boiling water


  • 1/2 cups warm milk


  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract


  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions

  • Sift together the flours, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder 3-4 times.
  • Beat the eggs well. To that add sugar and beat well. Add vanilla extract and Oil, mix them.
  • Add the flour mixture alternating with milk, fold them lightly until they are incorporated, do not over mix.
  • Add the boiling hot water to the batter and mix well.
  • Add pitted cherries and dark chocolate chunks, fold them gently.
  • Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 30-40 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean.
